Last year, "Shirak Center implemented a pilot project to help  families to make their living and solve priority food needs, that were socially insecured but full of dreams and opportunities to do good things. As part of the project, with the help of sponsors' support, we donated cows, sheep, chickens, other animals and fodder. We also helped a number of families to build barns.

Our monitoring has shown that a high result has been achieved և the program is more effective and promising for rural families or for families living in countrysides nearby villages.

The quality of life and even the mood of the beneficiaries of the program changed in a very short time, and in a year, a few families were able to increase the number of animals on their own, and stopped asking our organization for help.But we still continue to support them with school supplies, household appliances and other necessities.

Taking into account the effectiveness of this pilot program, "Shirak Center" implements a new program for the families whose living places are suitable for keeping and caring for farm animals.As part of the project, selected families will be provided with construction materials to build small barns, with high quality seeds and other necessary tools got from experienced farmers to sow and cultivate vegetables and fields, and to keep and breed cows, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits.

We are convinced that with the implementation of this program, many families will be able to create goods for themselves and first of all, they will be capable to solve the food problem for their families, and even to sell and earn money. It should be noted that it is primarily aimed at families with young children. "Shirak Center" will constantly monitor the progress of the program and will provide fodder and medical supplies.
